Four of a Kind: Properties across the country that have been recently renovated

All you’ll have to do is unpack your bags.

FOR ANYONE WHO doesn’t fancy buying a brand new home, but doesn’t have the time or energy to renovate a second-hand one, we’re here to help.

This week, we’ve found four homes across the country that have had the work done and are ready to walk into, without being identical to their neighbours.

Ballycullen, Dublin 16 – €795,000

664B Ballycullen Road is a large five-bed home with a floor area of 207 m². It dates to 1975 and has a certain charm from the outside. The inside has been upgraded over the years and it has a C2 energy rating. It sits on a third of an acre and has two side entrances with one wide enough for cars. The back garden faces south west and has plenty of space should the next owner want to extend.

The rooms inside comprise an entrance hall, a guest toilet and two reception rooms along with a large open plan kitchen with dining space and extra lounge area. A utility room completes the ground floor. Every bedroom is a double and two have their own bathrooms while the others share the family bathroom. A 24 hour bus route to the city centre is located nearby and the area is well serviced with shops and everyday amenities. A new Educate Together as well as other schools, at all levels, are walking distance away.

Sandyford, Dublin 18 – €995,000

Cooleen is a charming four-bed home with a floor area of 182 m². With the Dublin Mountains as its backdrop, the house has great views across Dublin Bay. The house itself was renovated and extended in the 90s and is still in great nick. The rooms inside comprise a glass porch that makes the most of the view and the links to the contemporary kitchen with its dining space and traditional wood burning stove. French doors from here lead to the back patio area and garden. A separate utility room and walk-in storage space along with two double bedrooms complete the ground floor..

Two more bedrooms sit upstairs and they both make the most of the mountain, garden and sea views. The large double bedroom has its own bathroom. There is covered parking to the side of the house with space for up to three cars. The house’s location will let you make the most of both Dublin city and the Wicklow countryside. The Blue Light pub is 500 metres from the house while the 44b bus route goes to the city centre via Stepaside, Sandyford and Dundrum.
