Red Devil catches team-mate after parachute fails to open

Neither of the soldiers were injured in the incident.

A MEMBER OF the Red Devils parachute team was saved in mid-air by a team-mate after his parachute failed to open properly.

The Red Devils are the British army’s parachute regiment, which frequently puts on public displays and the two men were taking part in an airshow on the Cumbrian coast yesterday.

After the soldier’s chute failed to open, his colleague swooped over to catch him and they sailed down to safety together.
