Report shows high level of mobile phone use while driving

ONE IN 20 DRIVERS continues to use their hand-held phone while behind the wheel, and drivers in Cork city and Maynooth, Co Kildare, are twice as likely to do so. Data from the Road Safety Authority shows that 93,525 drivers have received penalty points for mobile phone offences in the first eight months of 2010, 20% more than last year.
