Man in his 40s rescued from the River Liffey

The incident occurred this afternoon.

A MAN IN his 40s was rescued today after getting into difficulty in the River Liffey.

Four Dublin Fire Brigade appliances and one of its rescue boats were used in the rescue.

The incident occurred between 3.45pm and 4pm today near the O’Connell bridge.

The man was taken from the river and brought to St James’ Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
