Revenue officers discover 200kgs of cocaine on lorry arriving from France

The drugs, which have an estimated value of €14.2m, were found on an accompanied freight lorry.

REVENUE OFFICERS SEIZED over 200kgs of cocaine at Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford last night.

The drugs were discovered as a result of routine profiling. The drugs, which have an estimated value of €14.2m, were found on an accompanied freight lorry.

The lorry was searched by customs officers as it disembarked a ferry from Dunkirk in France.

A man in his 30s was arrested by gardaí once the drugs were discovered. 

He is currently detained at a garda station in the south east region.

Investigations remain ongoing, gardaí said.
