The latest tax defaulters list has five settlements of over €1m. Here they are...

In total almost €20m was collected.

FIVE TAX DEFAULTERS MADE settlements of over €1 million in the three months to the end of September according to the Revenue Commissioners.

In their latest quarterly list, Revenue says it made 107 settlements totalling €19.64 million in the period, with 33 of these amounting to over €100,000.

The largest individual settlement of €2,389,228 was made by Groundview Limited, a family entertainment company based on Dublin’s Mount Street for the under-declaration of Income Tax

The other settlements that topped €1 million were:

  • €1,378,969: Joseph P. Clarke, Farmer, Carrowkeel, Beltra, Co. Sligo (for under-declaration of Capital Gains Tax)
  • €1,346,538: Frank O’Reilly, Company Director, St. Margaret’s Road, Finglas, Dublin for under-declaration of Capital Gains Tax.
  • €1,151,854: Sablecross Ltd., Security Service Providers, Old Airport Road Santry, Co. Dublin (for under-declaration of PAYE/PRSI)
  • €1, 064,406: Colm Kearins, Cattle dealer, Knockbeg, Collooney, Co. Sligo for under-declaration of Capital Gains Tax.

Revenue says that nine of the 107 settlements published relate to investigation into offshore assets and funds with settlements totalling €3.89 million.
