This is what €470,000 of cannabis looks like

The seizure was made in Portlaoise earlier today.

AN ESTIMATED €470,000 worth of cananbis was seized by Revenue officials earlier today.

This discovery was made during routine profiling at Portlaoise Mail Centre.

The drugs, weighing a total of 23.5kg, were headed to an address in north Dublin City.

It is the latest in string of similar seizures were the drugs originated in West Africa.

An investigation into the discovery is ongoing.
