Don’t let your top-ups become another stress when bad weather hits.
Unexpected extreme weather conditions can bring unexpected stresses. Don’t let your meter top-ups be one of these. We’d recommend that Pay As You Go (PAYG) Gas and Electricity customers check their meters regularly and ensure that they’ve enough credit to keep them going for those times when they may not be able to get to a Payzone, PostPoint outlet or Post Office during a particularly cold snap.
For those times when all else has failed, there’s now an emergency credit of €10 on all PAYG meters. We’ve put together some frequently asked questions and answers on PAYG meters.
Q. What if my meter runs out of credit and I can’t get to a shop to top-up?
