Road closed in Belfast security alert

The army bomb squad have been tasked to the scene.

PSNI ARE CURRENTLY attending a security alert on the Belfast Road in Holywood.

The A2 Belfast Road has been closed. Diversions are in place for Bangor bound traffic at Tillysburn and for Belfast bound traffic at Rathgael. Traffic travelling between Bangor and Belfast are advised to travel via Newtownards due to adverse weather conditions in Craigantlet area.

The army bomb squad have been tasked to the scene.

The PSNI say there are no further details at this stage.
