Fatal road collision in Limerick leaves one dead

A man in his thirties was killed in the single vehicle collision.

A FATAL CRASH has left one person dead.

The single-vehicle collision happened on the M7 between the J28 and J29 outside of Limerick earlier this morning.

Three units from the Limerick City & County Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene shortly after 10.15am.

Gardaí were also in attendance.

It is understood that a man in his 30s was declared dead at the scene.

The road remains closed and gardaí are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
