Two women arrested after robberies of off-licences and chemists

The women will appear in court today.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING A number of robberies in the North Dublin area over the past two weeks have arrested two women.

In the early hours of yesterday, gardaí observed a car parked in the Cloughran area which car was suspected of involvement in a number of robberies and attempted robberies on off-licences and pharmacies in Ballymun and Phibsboro over the past number of weeks.

The two occupants of the car, two women in their 20’s, were arrested at the scene and brought to Ballymun Garda Station where they were detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Both females are scheduled to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street, this morning charged in relation to the robberies.
