Man escapes on bike after armed robbery of credit union

A travel agents on the same street was robbed at knifepoint last week.

GARDAÍ IN KILDARE are appealing for information after a man made off with money from Celbridge Credit Union.

The man entered the building on Main Street in the town around 12 noon today before threatening staff with a weapon. He then made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

He made off on a bicycle in the direction of Castletown.

Just last week, a travel agents on the same street was robbed at knifepoint.

Nobody was injured and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Celbridge Garda Station on (01) 628 8222.
