Three due in court over Waterford gunpoint robbery

The men were arrested by gardaí investigating the robbery of a shop in Cheekpoint on Thursday.

THREE MEN ARE due in court this evening over an armed robbery at a shop in Cheekpoint, Co Waterford on Thursday morning.

The robbery happened shortly before noon, as three raiders entered the premises and demanded cash from workers — threatening them with a knife and what’s believed to have been a gun.

The men — aged 18, 28 and 36 — were arrested yesterday.

All three are due before a special sitting of Waterford District Court at 9pm tonight.
