Ronan Collins' mother passes away

She was 95 years old.

RONAN COLLINS WAS unable to present his RTÉ Radio 1 show today following the death of his mother, Ethna.

She passed away early this morning, at the age of 95. 

Originally from Glasnevin in Dublin, Ethna lived all her married life in Phibsboro.

Her husband Des died this week, sixteen years ago.

She is survived by Ronan and her other sons – Brian, Michael and Mark, her daughters Sheila and Mary, and their husbands, wives, children and grandchildren.

Ronan presents a show on the station every weekday from noon to 1pm.
