Man in his late 60s dies in road traffic collision in Carrigtwohill, Cork

The incident occurred on the Carrigtwohill to Midleton Road, where one lane remains open.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the death of a man in his late 60s who was struck by a car in Carrigtwohill, Cork this evening.

The incident occurred at around 6.45pm on the Carrigtwohill to Midleton Road.

One lane of the road currently remains closed while a forensic team examines the scene.

Investigating gardaí say no other person was injured in the collision.

They are appealing for witnesses to contact Cobh Garda Station on 021-4908530, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
