Russia: Girl, 5, found living in cowshed

Authorities believe the child has spend most of her life living with cows – saying she can neither speak nor eat with a knife and fork.

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl in Russia has been taken into social care after being discovered living in a cowshed.

Authorities believe the child, who was living in the western Ural region of Russia, has spend most of her life living with cows. Media reports indicate the girl cannot talk properly or eat with a knife and fork; she instead moos and drinks straight from a saucepan.

The ‘feral’ child was rescued after a concerned neighbour raised the alarm, according to the Daily Mail.

It is understood that the unnamed girl was also locked in a storage room on occasion.
