Russian bomb toll rises

THE DEATH TOLL OF TODAY’S suicide bombing in North Ossetia, Russia, has risen to 17. Over 130 people were injured in the attack at a busy market in Vladikavkaz city at around noon, local time. Russian officials have blamed the incident on Islamic militants who have targeted the region several times in the past few years. Vladikavkaz was also the site of the 2004 Beslan school siege, in which 330 people died.
