Samuel Beckett Bridge fully reopens after closure due to vehicle fire

Both lanes of the bridge had been closed, but it has since been cleared and has reopened to traffic.

THE SAMUEL BECKETT Bridge in Dublin city centre has fully re-opened after it was closed due to a vehicle fire.

Both lanes of the bridge had been fully closed for a time, but it then re-opened to southbound traffic before partially re-opening also to northbound traffic.

The fire also caused traffic delays in the surrounding areas and local diversions are in place.

The bridge has since been cleared and has fully re-opened.
