DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE has brought a large industrial fire, on Church Lane in Santry, under control.

Five DFB units attended the scene, including a turntable ladder and water tanker, shortly after 8pm beside the Swiss Cottage on the Swords Road.

“The fire is under control and firefighters remain on scene damping down. The Swords road was closed inbound to facilitate firefighting operations,” a spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said in a statement.

Gardaí were also in attendance but said that no further information was available at this time.

The Swords Road inbound was blocked at Santry Ave as emergency services dealt with the nearby fire but has since been cleared, according to AA Roadwatch.

Dublin Fire Brigade had advised people living in the local area to close windows as smoke was drifting.
