One man is on a mission to save the Pink Snack, are you in?

It’s on.

WHEN THE NEWS broke yesterday about Cadbury’s scrapping the Pink Snack bar…one man decided he wasn’t going to take this lying down.

Gerard Maguire at first expressed his disappointment with the announcement by describing the Pink Snack as “one of the all time great chocolate bars”.

He then had a light bulb moment…

Which led to him heading to Musgraves to stock up on the dying bar for his wine bar in Dun Laoghaire, 64 wine.

The campaign has now officially started in his shop – and his description of the bar has now been raised to ‘national institution’. Steady on there Gerard!

He’s urging people to use the Twitter hashtag #savepinksnacks to ‘save this national treasure’.

His shop front now looks like this:

Wow.
