Three portacabins were destroyed in the blaze.

A FIRE WAS started at a school in West Belfast yesterday.

Three portacabins were destroyed in the blaze which police say was started deliberately.

Emergency services were called just before 9:45 last night and the fire was extinguished in just over an hour.

The attack was carried out on a Christian Brothers school in the Glen Road area of west Belfast.

Police are now appealing for information.

Detective Sergeant Melanie McGrory said, “I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area of who has any information to contact Detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.”
