Police in Scotland warn rioters: 'Don't think you will not be caught. We will identify you'

Six people have been arrested so far after ugly scenes at George Square last night.

POLICE IN SCOTLAND have issued a strong warning to those who contributed to the unrest in Glasgow last night.

Addressing rioters who were not detained after the incident in the city, Chief Superintendent Andy Bates said, “Don’t think that because you were not arrested by last night that you will not be caught.

“If you were involved in any criminality in the square we will identify you and you will be arrested.”

Police have secured CCTV footage and “other evidence” from George Square, where more than 700 Unionists gathered following the No vote in the independence referendum.

Six people have already been arrested on public order offences.

“An investigation into Friday night’s disorder has begun and an incident room has been set up at Glasgow City Centre Police Office, staffed by officers dedicated to identifying and arresting anyone involved in the ugly scenes witnessed across the world on television and social media,” Bates added in his statement today.

Police had to break up a number of fights, while a number of flares were also let off.

Scotland rejected independence in a vote on Thursday by a margin of 55% to 45%.

Explain why Scottish unionists were burning the Scottish flag ? ….i can’t get my head around that . Do they get insulted if you call them Scottish instead of british ? And attacking people that were waving Scottish flags signing flower of Scotland in scotland . And id also like to know why they were doing nazi salutes while drapped in union flags beside a WW2 rememoral ? Can anyone make sense of it ?

Darren, I live in the north and believe me it is almost beyond human comprehension why ‘unionist’ aka PUL’s do anything they do. They are just hate filled, twisted creatures who see anything or anyone who doesn’t think or behave like them as some sort of enemy that must be rushed.

What happened in Glasgow last night is simply another disgraceful example of a breed of creatures who love to display triumphalism……we see it year in, year out! they are like a bad smell you can’t get rid of.

I’m just really, really sorry for All the decent, hardworking people of Scotland who knew how to behave, in victory and defeat.

So unionists in Glasgow are burning Scottish flags but unionists in Ulster are flying them! What’s the bets you won’t see a Scottish flag flying anywhere in the north next year. Which will leave more room for UVF ones. Why oh why are these facists tolerated here or in Scotland? They really are disgusting lowlifes.

Article doesnt tell you that they also set fire to the sunday Herald building (only paper to support Independence out of 37 newspapers in Scotland), thankfully it never caught too much although families had to be evacuated from surrounding buildings. BBC couldnt even send a single camera to cover despite being based less than 2 miles away, wouldnt want to give their supporters a showing up. I was in George Sq waiting on a YES meeting organised on FB, never realised these halfwits would be there, but the writing was on the wall when they started singing the Famine Song.

Now as the promises are already being rolled back on from Westminster the Scots will also have to deal with the usual *ite that comes with triumphalist unionism.

Give it a week for it to settle in and your going to have one hell of a case of ‘buyers remorse’ with regard to what London sold.

This time next year expect marches to celebrate the day.

Not an allegation. I said I seen it with my own eyes. Which I did. So would you if you Googled it.

It was the dundee count centre. And their responce was lifted straight from father Ted. They said, and you can check their twitter yourself to see it, that those “yes” votes were just resting on the “no” table.

Like I said, I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I don’t believe any of the mental theories out there about all sorts of stuff, but in this instance, I seen ballots marked yes sitting on a table marked no.

There are other videos apart from the father Ted pile. One shows a lad filling in no ballots. Another shows a woman moving yes ballots to the no pile. International observers said there was no control on who had access to ballot boxes. It was rigged. They had no intention of letting Scotland go. Social media showed a huge yes majority, the public gatherings were all the yes side. Then they made up some nonsense about the “silent majority” being unionists. MI5 were up to their necks in this. A Scottish SNP politician wrote to them last year asking them to clarify whether their remit would include involvement in the referendum. SHE died in April. It was rigged as rigged could be. It seems to me that unionists living in Ireland burn Irish flags and unionists living in Scotland burn Scottish flags . Do unionists living in England or Wales burn english and welsh flags ?

Really just associated with O’Neills and their sub clans in the north, Donnelly, O’Kane, Mulgrew, etc. It was also a major symbol in the midlands as there is an o’neill castle in westmeath or somewhere which has hand engraved into the walls from centuries ago.

It became a symbol of Ulster during the nine years war between the Irish and the English because it was mostly the Ulster clans who fought during it.

It is also present in Gaelic Scottish culture as clans such as MacNeil and Lamont are descended from O’Neill kings and have the hand on their coat of arms.

The Irish clans didn’t actually fight much with the planters, most of the warfare took place against the English before the plantations took place. They would have fought against them at battles like the Boyne but something that I find ironic about the boyne is that the Scottish also fought against the Ulster protestants and you never hear them saying a bad word about the modern Scottish.

Also, the Scottish-Irish MacDonalds of the north coast of Antrim didn’t take well to the plantations, this is awful confusing for the unionist mindset. They like to keep things nice and simple by saying it was just the Irish catholics who slaughtered the planters.
