Search to resume for man last seen at Wicklow lake

The man was last seen shortly before 5pm yesterday evening.

A SEARCH IS set to resume this morning for a man who was last seen swimming near Blessington Lakes in Co Wicklow.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was last seen shortly before 5pm yesterday evening.

A search operation then got underway, with An Garda Síochána and the Coast Guard attending the scene.

A Coast Guard helicopter was in use for around one hour, with the search focusing on the Lacken area to the east of the lake.

It is understood the man had been out enjoying the good weather.

Nothing was found in yesterday’s search.
