Search for man who fell from boat off Wicklow coast stopped for the night

Units of the Coastguard as well as the RNLI have been searching for the man.

THE SEARCH FOR a fisherman who fell overboard this morning has been stood down for the night.

The man fell from the vessel near the Arklow coast at around 9am.

Units of the Coastguard as well as the RNLI have been trying to locate the man for a number of hours.

However, due to poor visibility, the search was stood down and will recommence at daybreak.

The man. who is understood to be in his early 50s, was one of three crew on the vessel before he fell overboard.
