Searches continue for two people missing off Irish coasts

Separate searches are continuing for a woman missing off the Cliffs of Moher, and a man missing off east Cork.

COAST GUARD CREWS are continuing their searches this morning for two separate people who have been missing for several days.

Crews, assisted by search and rescue helicopters and the RNLI, are searching for a 29-year-old female following the discovery of clothing at the Cliffs of Moher over the weekend.

The search has been continuing since Sunday without success.

Separately, crews at Ballycotton in east Cork are following up on reports of a missing man, who has not been seen since Tuesday.

A more comprehensive search is expected in mid-afternoon during low tide.
