Second man arrested in connection with Christopher Warren death

Another man that was being questioned by Gardaí in connection with the fatal shooting was released without charge this morning.

GARDAÍ IN MOUNTJOY have arrested a second man in his late 20s in connection with the fatal shooting of Christopher Warren in Dublin.

The man was arrested this morning in the Dublin 8 area and is being detained under the provisions of section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Mountjoy Garda station.

A man arrested on Saturday was released without charge this morning. A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Warren was shot and then dropped off at St James’s Hospital in Dublin on Friday evening. He died at the hospital a short time later.

A car that was used to bring the victim to the hospital was later found abandoned on Cork Street in Dublin’s south inner city.
