Man arrested after security staff threatened during armed robbery

Two men threatened the security staff at a service station on Grange Road in Baldoyle this afternoon.

SECURITY STAFF WERE threatened at a service station in Dublin during an armed robbery this afternoon.

Gardaí said that at approximately 1.30pm today at a service station on Grange Road, Baldoyle, Dublin, two men, one armed with what is believed to be a handgun, threatened security staff.

The culprits escaped with one cash box containing a sum of money. There were no injuries during the incident.

One man (23) was arrested by gardaí near Moyne Road in Baldoyle and is currently detained at Raheny Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A quantity of cash was recovered by gardaí.
