Elderly man critically injured in crash involving tractor and car

The man in his 70s was taken to hospital after the crash on Saturday afternoon in Omagh.

A MAN IN his 70s is in critical condition following a collision involving a tractor and a car in Northern Ireland.

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses to the the crash involving a Fiat Panda and a Massey Ferguson tractor.

The man, who was an occupant of the car, was taken to hospital after the crash on Saturday afternoon on the Drumlish Road in Omagh. A woman in her 70s, who was also an occupant of the car, was taken to hospital where her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The condition of the tractor driver is not known.

Police in Northern Ireland have appealed for anyone who saw the accident to contact them.
