Six men and a teenager charged with alleged false imprisonment of a woman in a Dublin apartment

The seven men are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice later.

SEVEN OF THE eight men arrested in connection with the alleged false imprisonment of a women at an apartment in Dublin have now been charged.

The woman, in her 30s, was allegedly falsely imprisoned and violently attacked in the property in Bolton Street on Thursday evening.

She is being treated in hospital for her injuries.

Seven men, between the ages of 20 and 54, and a teenager were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Garda stations in the Dublin region.

This morning, seven of the men, including the teenager, have been charged and are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice later.

The eighth arrested male, aged in his 40s, remains detained at a Garda station in the Dublin region.

A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
