Gardaí investigating sexual assault of girl (16) in Arklow laneway

The teenager told officers she had been attacked in a lane next to a boy’s national school on Tuesday night.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a reported sexual assault in Arklow, Co Wicklow.

A 16-year-old girl told officers she had been attacked in a laneway next to a boy’s national school in the town on Tuesday night.

The laneway, off Coolgreaney Road, was sealed off by investigators in the wake of the incident as forensic tests were carried out.

A garda spokesperson said investigations were continuing this morning and that no arrests had been made in connection with the case.
