A MAN HAS been arrested over an alleged sexual assault on a woman in Waterford.

The assault took place late Thursday or early yesterday at St John’s River Walk in Kilbarry.

A garda spokesperson said a man in his early twenties was arrested yesterday and is being held at Waterford Garda Station for questioning.
