Enda Kenny to meet Japanese PM in a bid to strengthen trade

Prime Minister Abe is visiting Ireland following his participation in the G8 Summit in Lough Erne on Monday and Tuesday.

THE TAOISEACH ENDA Kenny is meeting the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzō Abe at Government Buildings today.

The leaders are expected to discuss bilateral economic, trade and cultural relations between Ireland and Japan, as well as other economic issues.

The Taoiseach will also brief the Japanese PM on Ireland’s EU Presidency, and they will discuss EU-Japan relations and progress on an EU-Japan Trade Agreement.

The Taoiseach and Prime Minister are also set to attend an event in Government Buildings to showcase and build on Ireland and Japan’s strong trade and investment relationship of over 50 years and meet representatives of the Japanese and Irish business and research community.
