Man (19) shot in leg in Ballyfermot

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.

A MAN HAS been shot in the leg in Ballyfermot, Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating the shooting which occurred at Le Fanu Drive shortly after 10pm.

A 19-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg during the incident.

He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel and removed to St James’s Hospital by ambulance. His condition is not thought to be life threatening.

The scene is being preserved for a technical and forensic examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballyfermot garda station 01-06667200 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
