Man charged over daytime shooting of Dublin teenager

The 20-year-old will appear before court charged in connection with the shooting at Memorial Park in January.

A MAN HAS been charged in connection with the shooting of an 18-year-old at Memorial Park in Dublin in January.

Gardaí confirmed the 20-year-old man is to appear before the Courts of Criminal Justice later this afternoon in connection with the incident.

The victim was shot at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon on 13 January and was treated at the nearby St James’s Hospital for serious injuries.

The shooting happened near a GAA club at the Irish National War Memorial Park beside the Phoenix Park.
