Man shot in the leg at New Year's Eve party

Gardaí are investigating the incident that happened in Newbridge, County Kildare.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a shooting that took place at a New Year’s Eve party in Kildare.

A man in his late teens was shot in the lower leg at approximately 4.50am on New Year’s Day.

The incident occurred in a house on Pearse Road in Newbridge, County Kildare.

The young man was taken to Naas General Hospital where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing, said the gardaí.

Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to contact Newbridge Garda Station.
