Man shot in petrol station forecourt in Castlebar

The man was shot at around 4pm yesterday evening and has been hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries.

A MAN HAS been hospitalised after he was shot at a petrol station forecourt in Castlebar, Co Mayo yesterday evening.

The man is in hospital with what are being described as non-life threatening injuries following the shooting at around 4pm.

The scene of the shooting at the petrol station in Moneen in Castlebar is still being preserved for a garda technical examination.

There have been no arrests at this stage and gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
