Man shot in both feet in Belfast - but bullets fail to penetrate shoes

Three men forced their way into the man’s house and carried out the attack.

POLICE IN BELFAST are investigating an apparent failed gun attack on a man in the north of the city yesterday night.

A gang shot the victim in the feet during the incident. However, the bullets didn’t penetrate his shoes.

It happened at a house at Cranbrook Gardens after 11pm last night, according to the PSNI.

“Three men forced their way into the house at around 11.20pm and took a male occupant, aged in his 30s, outside, where he was shot in both feet,” Detective Inspector Nigel Snoddy said.

The bullets failed to penetrate the man’s footwear however, and the man was taken to hospital with minor injuries to his feet.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information to contact detectives in Musgrave PSNI station in Belfast.
