Should schools close for polling day?

Primary schools are often used as polling stations.

IT’S ELECTION EVE and politicians across the country are making their final pitches before voters head to the polls.

In many cases, primary schools will be used as polling stations tomorrow, resulting in school closures and an extra day off for pupils.

While some parents complain of being put out by the day off, schools can sometimes be the only suitable buildings to facilitate voting.

Poll Results:

No (1947)
Yes (1202)
Unsure (102)
