Should third-level student fees be abolished?

WE ARE 16 days out from the general election, and campaign promises are coming thick and fast.

Last night Taoiseach Simon Harris took to Instagram live to tell his followers that a new Fine Gael government would phase out the student contribution for third-level students.

Several opposition parties have previously called for third-level fees to be abolished or phased out, including Sinn Féin, Labour, and People Before Profit.

So today we’re asking: Should third-level student fees be abolished?
