Take shelter: Rain warning kicks in from this evening

An estimated 23.8mm of rain fell over Ireland on Saturday.

Updated 16:50.

A RAIN WARNING has been put in place for this evening.

The status yellow alert kicks in from 7pm this evening until 7pm tomorrow.

According to Met Éireann, “Heavy rain or showers will lead to rainfall accumulations of up to 35mm during tonight and tomorrow.”

We hope you enjoyed any sun you managed to get today…it was apparently the sunniest day of the week for most of the country.

The mix of sunshine and showers look set to continue for the rest of the week. But to be honest- it sounds like more rain than sunshine and it’s going to get windy. Great.

Aw Irish weather – when will summer mean summer?!
