Significant power outage from south Dublin to Wicklow

ESB crews are attempting to restore power – and most DART and Luas services are running as usual again – following a blackout.

ESB CREWS ARE attempting to restore power in parts of Dublin and Wicklow this afternoon, after a significant power outage.

The blackout has affected the Bray, Greystones, Foxrock and Carrickmines areas – and as many as 50,000 residents. Parts of north Wicklow have also been disturbed.

Transport services have now resumed, after several routes were affected. DART services from Bray to Greystones and the Luas Red Line are both fully operational.

However, the Luas Green Line is only operating between St Stephens Green and Sandyford, with bus transfers in place.
