Two women charged over Belfast stabbing

Two women have been charged over the stabbing of a 23-year-old man in Belfast yesterday.

TWO WOMEN HAVE been charged in connection with the stabbing of a man in west Belfast in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A 23-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen at a house at Sliabh Dubh View in Ballymurphy after opening the door to three people, UTV reports.

One woman, 30, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and the possession of an offensive weapon. A second woman, 32, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon, threats to kill, assault and witness intimidation.

Both will appear at Laganside Magistrates’ Coury tomorrow.

A 48-year-old man who was also questioned by police has been released on bail pending further enquiries, RTÉ reports.
