Man, 28, fell to his death in Sligo last night

Gardaí said they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

A MAN FELL to his death while trying to gain entry to the Sligo town hotel he was a guest in during the early hours of this morning, it has been reported today.

Gardaí say they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who apparently fell from a railing at Quay Street at about 1.45am.

The deceased, a 28-year-old understood to be from Meath, was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2.35am.
