Man charged over killing of Sonia Blount

A MAN HAS appeared before Tallaght District Court today charged in connection with the death of Sonia Blount at the weekend.

The 31-year-old was found dead by cleaning staff at the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght on Sunday afternoon, and gardaí confirmed yesterday that they were treating the death of the young mother as murder.

RTÉ News reports that 31-year-old Eric Locke of St John’s Park East in Clondalkin appeared before court this morning charged with murder, and was remanded in custody to appear again before Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday of next week. The court that he replied “no” when gardaí put the charge to him.
