"That's what they thought of us": Dubliners soaked by massive wave from luxury liner

Thanks for nothing, fancy Italian boat.

LUXURY CRUISE LINER the Splendida was in Dublin the other day.

As it was the biggest ship ever to grace the city’s main port – there was quite a bit of hoopla surrounding her arrival.

And as she sailed out – of course, spectators made a point of heading down to the end of the North and South Bull Walls, to catch a glimpse of the 330 metre liner.

The southsiders – bless them – didn’t fare too well from the encounter…

“Watch out – the wash,” someone shouted, as displaced water rushed in from the departing vessel, soaking everyone.

And when the waves subsided…

That’s what they thought of us – just f*cking wet them.
