St Patrick's Athletic fan dies in Warsaw

The club have expressed their condolences to the supporter’s family and friends.

A ST PATRICK’S Athletic fan has died ahead of their Champions League tie with Legia Warsaw in Poland this evening, the club have announced.

A statement from the club earlier today read:

“It is with great sadness that St Patrick’s Athletic learned of the death of an English based fan of the club in Warsaw this morning.

“The club would like to express its deepest condolences to the fan’s family and friends on this very sad occasion.”

Further details of the death are currently unclear.

Rugby had higher percentage of positive drugs tests than athletics in 2013>
