St Patrick’s Day will be cloudy and windy with rain.

THE WEATHER FOR St Patrick’s Day is looking wet and windy, with not much improvement for the weekend ahead.

This morning starts cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain but becoming brighter during the afternoon with highest temperatures of up to 11 degrees.

Tonight will be cold with lowest temperatures of just 2 degrees and rain in western counties.

St Patrick’s Day will be cloudy and windy with rain developing through much of Connacht and northwest Ulster.

Met Eireann says the rain will become widespread and heavy across the country in the afternoon and will continue to persist into the evening.

Saturday will stay cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain and highest temperatures of up to 12 degrees.

Sunday will continue wet and windy with cloudy outbreaks of rain and highest temperatures of up to 13 degrees.
