Third man arrested after 25-year-old man died in Clare stabbing this morning

It happened at Marion Estate, Kilkee at around 1.15am.

THREE MEN HAVE been arrested after a 25-year-old man died following a stabbing incident in Co Clare early this morning.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal stabbing which happened at Marion Estate, Kilkee at around 1.15am.

The 25-year-old man received serious stab wounds and was removed to University Hospital Limerick where he was later pronounced dead.

Three men have now been arrested in relation to the stabbing. A 22-year-old man was arrested a short time after the incident and is being held at Kilrush Garda Station.

At around 12.15pm, gardaí reported that a second man, aged in his early 20s, was arrested in the area earlier today. He is also being held at Kilrush Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A third man, also in his 20s, has now been arrested in West Clare and is being held at Ennis Garda Station.

Gardaí have appealed to witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or have information to contact them at Kilrush Garda Station 065 90 80 550, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
