Court for teen arrested after 19-year-old beaten and stabbed in Dublin city

Two teenagers have since been released without charge after being arrested following the incident.

A TEENAGER WILL appear at Dublin District Court this month charged in relation to a serious assault which occurred at College Green, Dublin yesterday.

The 19-year-old male will appear at Dublin District Court  on 28 June.

At approximately 11.30pm last night a 19-year-old male was stabbed and seriously injured during an incident at a shop on College Green.

He was taken by ambulance to St James Hospital, where he is described as stable.

Two males and a female (all aged in their teens) were arrested a short time later by investigating gardaí and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A male and female were later released without charge pending the preparation of a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The scene of the incident is preserved pending a technical examination.
