Man in his 40s collapses on street after being stabbed

He is in a stable condition in hospital.

A MAN IN his 40s is recovering in hospital after being stabbed on Friday night.

The 49-year-old was found by a group of men having collapsed on North Street in the Cork town of Skibbereen.

He had received multiple slash wounds and what gardaí call “minor” stab wounds.

The man was taken to Cork University Hospital, where his condition is described as stable.

Gardaí have begun inquiries in the area and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
